A fuzzy-based system for peer reliability in JXTA-overlay P2P considering number of interactions
The trustworthiness of peers is very important for safe communication in P2P system. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy-based reliability system for P2P Communications in JXTA-Overlay. We use three input parameters: Number of Interactions (NOI), Amount of Data Exchanged (ADE), and Reputation (R) and the output is Peer Reliability (PR). We evaluate the proposed system by computer simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed system have a good behaviour can be used successfully to evaluate the scale of reliability of the new peer connected in JXTA-Overlay.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
A Comparison Study for Investigation of Diffracted Waves between Parallel Edges and Edges with Arbitrary Angle
Estimation of the scattering of electromagnetic waves by buildings and other obstacles is
very important for wireless communications. In our previous work, we have examined the
diffracted fields by two horizontal edges which make an arbitrary angle. In this paper, we
compare the diffracted fields between parallel edges and edges with arbitrary angle. The numerical
calculation results show that when the angle between two edges increases, relatively strong
orthogonal polarized wave components appear, but the principal components are almost the
same as the incident wave
An Integrated System of Robot, SmartBox and RFID as an Approach for Internet of Things
Internet of Things (IoT) allows the interconnection of smart objects, such as robots, wireless sensors, and of human beings. Object recognition is a key unresolved challenge for robotics, but an Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) or Quick Response Code (QR codes) can help in solving this problem. IoT proposes a new way of object recognition. By making objects smart and connected, robots do not need to identify objects around them since objects automatically identify themselves to robots. In this work, we propose and implement an integrated system of robots, Smart Box and RFID as an approach for IoT. In our system, robot can connect with other things in IoT and can take useful information for solving different tasks

A comparison study between two fuzzy-based trustworthiness systems for P2P networks
In P2P systems, evaluation of trustworthiness of the peers is very important for a safe communication. In order to decide the peer trustworthiness different parameters are needed. In this paper, we propose two fuzzy-based peer trustworthiness systems for JXTA-Overlay P2P platform. In the first system, we considered two parameters: Actual Behavior Criterion (ABC) and Reputation (R). In the second system, we took in consideration three parameters: Actual Behavior Criterion (ABC), Mutually Agreed Behavior (MAB) and Reputation(R). We compared the performance of the proposed systems by computer simulations. The simulation results have shown that in general the system with three parameters has better performance, but the complexity is higher.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version

Performance evaluation of an intelligent CAC and routing framework for multimedia applications in broadband networks
AbstractIn order to support multimedia communication, it is necessary to develop routing algorithms which use for routing more than one QoS parameters. This is because new services such as video on demand and remote meeting systems require better QoS. Also, for the Call Admission Control (CAC) of multimedia applications different QoS parameters should be considered. In our previous work, we proposed an intelligent routing and CAC strategy using cooperative agents. However, we only considered the time delay for the routing. The QoS and Congestion Control (CC) parameters were considered as indicators of QoS satisfication and congestion. In this work, we extend our previous work by proposing and implementing new algorithms based on Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) which use for CAC and routing many QoS parameters. The simulation results show that proposed framework has a good performance and is a promising method for QoS routing and CAC decision
